Oooooooo, What Is This!?!
Ok ladies (and gents!), listen up!!! Are you ready for some fun and a REAL challenge?!? Well have I got some news for you! I am on the DT for a great new challenge blog called Dreamtime Designs Craft Challenge! It is a one of a kind challenge that will run for a month, starting on the first of every month. You can make all sorts of creations!. It will be focusing on a particular theme for each challenge, and designed to showcase YOU as a designer and to make you think! Our Design Team is a VERY talented group of ladies! You HAVE to check out their blogs and see for yourself how amazing they are! They are listed on my side bar under the logo for DDCC!
Our first challenge was just that for me! I put quite a bit of thought into what I wanted to do. Our first theme is:
Anything Goes About Me - The Designer Behind the Project
You must answer these questions and put those answers into your project! It can be anything you want to create as long as it answers the questions:
1) Where do you live?
2) What do you love most about where you live?
3) Who do you share this special place with?
4) What is your favorite season there & why?
5) What is your most loved thing to do or place to visit & why?

Since I am so comfortable with my paper carfts, I decided to do a scrapbook page. It was still quite challenge for me to work all of my answers into my project. I haven't done that many of them! So here it is!
I live in the stated of Arizona in the USA, and love the northern part of the state, especially in winter! I share it with my sweetie of 27 years, Paul. Our favorite place is Pinetop in the snow. I think if you read my journaling piece and look at the pics, you'll understand!
So come on, stretch your creative wings, put on your thinking cap, get your mojo working ~ you get the idea! Please join us in celebrating YOU! Be inspired by the FANTASTIC projects of our DT!! It doesn't matter if you are an experienced crafter or just started yesterday, join the fun! See you over at DDCC and Happy Crafting!
Loved your creation, Joanne! Looking forward to seeing what you will do in the up coming challenges. " A fan"
ReplyDeleteJoanne,
ReplyDeleteIt's been such a joy getting to know you these past few weeks! And our "UK English" lessons have been quite educational....will you EVER be able to hear the word gimp again without giggling? Wow, what a difference an ocean can make to a language!
I find it hard to believe you don't do a lot of scrapbooking because this layout is beautiful. The color combo of blues and browns is one of my favorites. It really makes those snowy pictures feel so warm and cozy!
Can't wait for our next challenge at DDCC. We survived the tension of launching a new challenge blog....we can do anything!
hugs--

Hi Joanne, I love your layout. It is so beautiful! I can see you are walking to nature and the snow. It is a great project! I love the dies you have used. Hugs, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous creation, not just because of how beautiful the colours worth together or the gorgeous dine ruins with the snow, or the beautiful poem, but you can really tell there's some love gone into this but also actually within this project! It's such a sweet creation and one of those things to keep forever, makes me smile when I look at it :)
ReplyDeleteHi dear Joanne! :D

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Joanne. I think i've said it before, but i'll say it again.... You and Paul look sooooo happy :) and that in itself makes this a lovely piece to look at. I love how wintery you have made the layout look and yet that cup of hot cocoa looks so warm and inviting...hehe...
ReplyDeleteThe papers you have used are all perfect soft winter colours and I love your intricate frame around your top right picture, was this simply just cut out with your silhouette? Or was this done in a different way?
Beautiful

Hi Joanne, it's so great having you as part of our team & so glad you're with us. I love your layout it reminds me of all the fun times I've had in the snow growing up in the UK. I love how you have created the snowflake border & the paper pieced mug of cocoa. Yum lol. You & Paul look ever so happy & to think you can snuggle to keep warm. Very romantic :) You have done a great take on the challenge. Thank you & well done. I love it xx Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Lisa.
