Creative Knockouts #51 TAG IT!

Our theme for this challenge at Creative Knockouts is to use a tag.  I must admit, I don't do a lot of them, but when I do I sure enjoy creating them.  They can be used in so many ways; on a present, a gift bag, bottle of wine, on a card, the options have no limits!  For my tag I used this cute image given to us by our super sponsor  digistamps4joy.
They have a fab selection of images!  It's called "Bettie Bow", soooo adorable!  I made the tag and then applied it to a card.

Be sure to drop by Creative Knockouts and see the great challenges they have going on!  The DT have some awesome creative inspiration for you.
See you there!

Sunny Day

We are half way through the week and all is well at my home.  I'm sure some of you have seen in the media all the rain and flooding we are having here in Phoenix and surrounding areas.  What a mess!  I really feel sorry for the people having to deal with all the damage from the storms.  Hopefully they will get assistance to repair their homes.

Today's card is another for my Aunt Mary.  I ordered a new die cut by Creative Expressions called "Austrian Collection - Background", and I LOVE it.  It is so quick and easy to make a lovely card.  I am going to cut a bunch in different colors just to have them ready to work with.

Enjoy the rest of the week, the weekend is not too far away!
Hugs to all.

This card is entered in the following challenges:
Amusing Challenges ~ Die Cut
PDE Linky Party ~ Metal Dies or Punches

Thinking of You Bouquet

Happy Friday everyone!  Time to have some fun over the weekend!  I have house guests arriving and I am thrilled to be sharing time with them.  I wanted to post this card before I get too busy!

It is hard as we get older to reconcile to the thought that life moves so fast.  Having recently put my Pop in a care facility has really been a wake up call for me.  Now he and both of his surviving sisters are in care facilities.  They are 94, and 92 years old, and Pop is 93.  I know that they enjoy receiving "snail mail" and like to set the cards out for a bit of cheer.  This card is for my Aunt Mary whom I adore.  When I was a child she sewed tons of doll clothes for my dolls, and also matching outfits for me!  She is a very talented seamstress, and still sews at 94!  Amazing!

I hope this brings a smile and a bit of sunshine to her day.

Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge #71 ~ Fairies

Dainty little creatures ~ fairies.  There are so many tales and stories about them, and also so many lovely images of them available to us as crafters.  My favorite was always Tinkerbell.  When I saw Peter Pan, I fell in love with her!

We are celebrating this adorable little creature in our current challenge over at CC&CC.  Along with our super sponsor Whoopsi Daisy we have created some lovely cards. My image is from sheet 199.  I used soft colors, tiny pearls, die cut corners, border punch and a bit of ribbon.

We really would love to have you play along with us and show us your lovely fairy creations.  So come join us at CC&CC!

Creative Knockouts Challenge #49 ~ DOILY FUN!

Hello, and welcome to another great challenge at Creative Knockouts!
It's time to get out your pretty doily's and put them to use.  Make a creation and include a doily!  We are so fortunate to have A Day For Daisies as our super sponsor.  The sweet image that I have used is
called "Mom's Hat".  I love it, so adorable and it reminds me of
childhood playing dress up, so fun!

I colored the image with my Copic's then cut it out, used Martha Stewart doily's that I cut, then added some roses and pearls.

We would love to have you stop by Creative Knockouts for some Doily Fun.  While you are there be sure to check out all the wonderful creations our
DT have done for your inspiration.
