For My Dear Friend

It is always so hard when a friend is going through sorrows and sad times.  My SBC (Sister By Choice) if facing one of those times now.  In the past week she has lost a very dear friend, and yesterday she had to put her beloved kitty, Pippy, down.  It breaks my heart to see her dealing with these events.  She loves receiving my cards, so I did this one for her to let her know how much she is appreciated and that I am there for her as she always is for me.

I cut the "lattice" top piece on my Silhouette and laid it over a piece of flowered paper from my new pack called "Park Bench" by Fancy Pants Designs.  I hand made the flowers from punch pieces and added the flourishes and butterfly from a die cut.  Then I added the sentiment and the fancy pin.

Our friends are so important.  I cherish her friendship and am so thankful to have her in my life.  Let your friends know that you care ~ you never know when you may not be able to tell them how happy you are to have them in your life.

My image is called Heels - Polka Dot.  I really love this image, it is so cute and girly!  Besides, I love wearing heels too, so it was perfect for me.

We would love to have you join us at CC&CC and show off YOUR polka dots!

Creative Knockouts ~ Christmas In July

This challenge is a really different one for me ~ Christmas in July!  It was 116 degrees here today!!!  It sure as heck does NOT feel like Christmas!
But, none the less, I made a Christmas card for this fun challenge at Creative Knockouts.  Our super sponsor, Dilly Beans, generously let us choose our image, and I really liked this gal.  She was so fun to color!  She is called "Amalia's Christmas Present".

Well, I have one holiday card done, now for about 40 more, lol!  I hope you join us at Creative Knockouts for this challenge.  Our DT has done some amazing creations for you.  AND, you can get a jump on those holiday cards!

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge #69 ~ For The Birds

Boy, two weeks have just flown by!  It's time for another fun challenge over at CC&CC!  This time we are showcasing our feathered friends, the birds.  Our super sponsor Mel Jens Designs let us choose our image, and I decided on "Fancy Swirls Peacock".  I love the look of it, quite a classy image.

The peacock feather paper was printed out from an online pattern and used a punch for the right side.  I colored my peacock with my Copics, mounted it on a die cut and put it on a piece of embossed paper.

Come on over to CC&CC and see the lovely creation that our DT have don for you.  Then, it's your turn to share a card with your favorite feathered friend!

Challenge #45 ~ Sew It Up, Stitching

I am so excited to post my second card for Creative Knockouts!  I am loving the great images that we have been given to use.  This challenge theme is "Stitching", and it can be real or faux, your choice.  Our DT have made some lovely creations for your inspiration, so be sure to drop by and leave some love!

The image I have used is called "Eleanor Tubing Fun" by Lacy Sunshine.  Isn't she just adorable!!  Such a fun digi to work with.  I have used faux stitching around my layers and some real stitching on my ribbon  Elenor is colored with Copics, and then I added the ribbon, buttons and flowers.

We would really love to have you join us at Creative Knockouts for this challenge.  Get your mojo working and have some fun with stitching!
