Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges ~ Color Inspiration

Wow, I can't believe that two weeks have flown by since our last challenge over at CC&CC.  This new year is moving right along!  For this challenge we have a great new sponsor, Make It Crafty.  We really enjoyed working with their adorable images!

Here are the colors to use:

I gave the gals several color schemes to choose from and then we voted on our favorite.  This one won hands down!

My image is called Can Can Dancer Sally - TOO CUTE!
I wanted to create a scene for her with a Paris theme.  After all, the Moulin Rouge is famous for their can can dancers!  I think I succeeded!

Please come join us at CC&CC and make a card using these great colors!

Creative Knockouts #73 ~ Lots Of Embellies

It's time for another great challenge over at Creative Knockouts!  This time we want you to pile on the goodies, LOTS of embellishments.  Now, I don't know about you, but for me, this is the hardest kind of card to make.  My style tends to to be on the less embellies side, lol!  So I really struggled with this card.  But, all in all it came out ok.  I like the soft colors and the roses (you can barely see them, lol!).

Our great sponsor is The Stamping Boutique.  They have a lovely variety of images.  Digis for any occasion.  Stop by and have a look.

The name of my image is "Crazy Dress".  It is so cute, and I don't find it crazy at all, lol.

I really envy you crafters who make this type of card.  It's not as easy as it looks!  It takes a lot of planning out, it is not just all piled on there anywhere!  So join us over at Creative Knockouts and give me lots of inspiration - because I need it!

Thinking Of You

What a lovely Sunday afternoon it is here to day.  After a bike ride outside I was off to work on some cards, yeah!

I am in LOVE with this technique!  I saw it over at Gina K's site, Stamp TV and I HAD to try it.  I love the results you can achieve, and it was so much fun.  It is called "Stained Glass Velum Technique"  (You can watch the video instructions here).  She did a lovely Christmas card and it inspired me to do this card.

It is for a dear friend that is going through the BIG "C", and I wanted to do something pretty for her.  I used silver embossing powder and colored the light purple and green on the flower with my Copics.

I really love the way it turned out - accept for one thing.  I wish I had stamped the sentiment with a dark purple ink instead of black.

Now I finally know what I want to do with the vellum that I purchased, LOL!  Give this a try, I know you will be glad you did.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!  Thanx for stopping by and hugs to all.

Entered in the following challenges:

Fab n' Funky #242 ~ Something New (new technique)
Inky Impressions #192 ~ Monochrome
Three Muses ~ Artist or Artistic Style (Gina K)
Alphabet Challenge Blog ~ X for X-periment
Bloggers Challenge ~ Life Is Nothing Without Friendship
Crafts 4 Eternity ~ Reflection (silver embossing)

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge #82 ~ NO Circles

Welcome all.  It's time to share another challenge with you from CC&CC.  It's a simple one, just don't use any circles on your card!

Our sponsor is the great Rick St. Dennis.  His images are always so fun to work with.  I chose this cute little gal called "Euro Girl Easter Edna".  I need to get to work on some Easter cards, so this gives me a bit of a head start, lol!  I colored her with my Copics, used lots of glitter paper, a die cut piece and some pearls entwined with ribbon.

Come on over and see all the great cards the gals have done for this fun challenge.  I know you will not be disappointed!  They did a FAB job!
See you there!

Little Red Wagon #271 ~ Sparkle & Shine

Creative Knockouts #71 All About The Girls

Hello everyone!  Thanx so much for stopping vy.  I hope you are having a good week.

Time for a fun girly challenge ~  All About The Girls at Creative Knockouts.  We have the great sponsor Lemon Shortbread who has generously given us the most adorable images to use.  I chose "Flower Headband Fairy Girl", and she is just lovely.  I had so much fun coloring her with my Copics, and adding lots of glitter paper die cuts.  I also used some Shabby White Frantage around the image, and a piece of lace.

We would love to have you join us for this great fun challenge.  It gives you a chance to get really fancy and girly!  And be sure to come see the beautiful cards our DT have done for your inspiration over at
 Creative Knockouts.
