THANKSGIVING GREETINGS

Well, to all of us on this side of the pond, do you have all your goodies together for the feast on Thursday?  I finished up all my food shopping yesterday and am ready to go.  I love the Autumn and Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays.  I'm trying a new stuffing in the turkey this year, orange and cranberry.  I know I'll love it, but the family might not be happy with the change from my traditional stuffing.  We'll have to wait and see!  To those of you on the other side of the pond, I send wishes of good cheer and many blessings!

The little pilgrim on this card is a die that was a bargain purchase from the stamp sale I went to a few weeks back.  (I also got the girl.)  I framed this little guy in my window, added the curtains and plant with flowers. The background is embossed with a Sizzix folder.   The sentiment frame is also a die cut and I added the sentiment and a tiny leaf button tied with thread.
He's saying hello and Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for all of you and the wonderful friendships I've made all around the world in blog land!  And for all the amazing creative people out there who have inspired me and keep creating every day!

Wishing you all a Thanksgiving full of love, family, joy and many blessing you are thankful for!

  1. A great card Joanne. I love how you hav eput it all together.
Sorry i haven't been around so much. I have been really busy, plus my very close friend died. We thought she had until Xmas but she declined rapidly in 4 days. I didn't feel much like crafting but i am back in full swing now.

    How are you keeping?

    Big hugs Sarah x

  3. Aloha Joanne, and a Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. I am thankful to know ya.

I love how you built up this card using the individual elements - and your pilgrim certainly looks very happy, lol. Funny, I was only looking back at your previous cards yesterday and came across one where you used this window. Well I have just got myself a windows die (different one) and was getting quite inspired by your design, especially the way you added your own flowers to it. Knowing me, I'll never get round to seeing the inspiration through to actually making something, but I do enjoy having the ideas bounce round my head even if they come to nothing LOL.

Hope that stuffing goes down well!

  4. Happy Thanksgiving! Love this window with the pilgrim. So cute. I'm trying new things this year, too. This is the first time I've made pumpkin pies not from a can. I also changed my apple pie recipe, which my husband is upset about and we made real cranberry relish this year. It should be an interesting day. I don't dare change the stuffing. My family would be so upset. That's their favorite part. Enjoy your day!
