What a lovely Sunday afternoon it is here to day. After a bike ride outside I was off to work on some cards, yeah!
I am in LOVE with this technique! I saw it over at Gina K's site, Stamp TV and I HAD to try it. I love the results you can achieve, and it was so much fun. It is called "Stained Glass Velum Technique" (You can watch the video instructions here). She did a lovely Christmas card and it inspired me to do this card.

It is for a dear friend that is going through the BIG "C", and I wanted to do something pretty for her. I used silver embossing powder and colored the light purple and green on the flower with my Copics.
I really love the way it turned out - accept for one thing. I wish I had stamped the sentiment with a dark purple ink instead of black.
Now I finally know what I want to do with the vellum that I purchased, LOL! Give this a try, I know you will be glad you did. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thanx for stopping by and hugs to all.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Jo, a wonderful technique which I have done way back in the mists of time, methinks I may have to retrieve the vellum from the bottom of the drawer and have another go :o)
