This was a fun project! I love trying something new. I have a great book called "Paper Bouquet, Using Paper Punches to Create Beautiful Flowers" and had never attempted to try them. Since I did the window card with the flowers I have been telling myself it's time to get with it and try more paper flowers! One thing that has held me back is the fact that the flower punches are costly and to do different kinds you need quite a few punches. Well, I came up with a solution. It is a bit time consuming but the end result is great! I used my paint program to design the shapes needed, then imported them into my SCAL program and let my Cricut do all the cutting! SUPER! I followed the instructions and pics in the book and made my first pansies! Here is the result:
I added some color on the flowers with my Copic's, added a bit of cheesecloth for some background, the leaves and little fern pieces. The fern pieces were the only punch pieces used, they are from a Martha Stewart punch. Now that I have tried making them and enjoyed it so much, I am going to try some more. They are not hard to do at all, they just take a little time! So if you have the time and patience, give it a go, they are lovely and fun!
