TGIF everyone! The weekend is here and the weather is cooling down, time to start playing golf again! It's my next favorite thing to do next to card making. Hope you get to enjoy something you love to do this weekend.
Today's card was a joy to make. It's a birthday card for a cousin of my Pop's. I was in a vintage mood, so that's what I decided to do. The pic of the pretty lady is from an old postcard I found in an antique shop some time ago. When I first saw her I thought she was so beautiful and loved the soft colors. I used a lot of distress inks on the papers, lace and doily. I also distressed the edges of one layer of the paper. Next I added some pearls and the sheer flower. All in all, I am very pleased with this card. I don't do a lot of vintage, but when I do I sure enjoy it!

ReplyDeleteAloha Joanne, I'm doing well arent I? 2 visits in as many days! lol.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage cards and this is a fab one - I love the way you used the ink to age the paper, and how you picked up the blue from her dress in the background. And of course the sparkle from the pearls and sheer ribbon are gorgeous.
I also love to hear about who you make your cards for, you seem to have quite a close network of family and friends (must keep you very busy in your craft room!).
Enjoy your golfing, sounds like a great way to spend the weekend. Carole
