Now that Easter cards are done, it's time to move on to Mother's Day! My Mom passed away almost 5 years ago, but her sister is like my 2nd Mom. She is a wonderful lady full of fun, laughter and a great positive attitude. I always try to do really special cards for her because SHE is so special to me. This card for her was one of those that was out of my comfort zone. I wanted to do a "fussy" Tilda with lots of girly vibes, ribbons, lace, flowers, you get the picture! But I am such a structured, tailored person and I find it hard to let loose! I think I accomplished my goal on this one, lol. (Maybe a little over the top!)
The stamp is colored with Copics, I used a corned punch on the edges of the image, inked the edges of the sentiment and added all the extra goodies. I had a bit of trouble with the layout but managed to get it all together. The longer I look at it, it really reminds me of Spring!
What a gorgeous card, love the vibrant colours. Not OTT at all :o)

ReplyDeletehugs and happy Easter!
Oh no, it's not over the top at all, it has just the right amount of fuss and everything looks very nicely balanced to my eye. Also gorgeous shades of colour you used, and your Tilda is coloured beautifully. I think you made a lovely card for your 2nd mum, she'll feel the love from it. CoB
