ON VACATION

Sorry I haven't been on here lately.  I am up in the Pacific North West at Mt. Rainer, Mt. St. Helens and the Columbia River Gorge.  The weather is perfect and it is beautiful!  There is hardly any WI-FI connections, so posting is pretty random.  Since I could get on this evening, I thought I'd show your some awesome beauty by Mother Nature!

Take care all!  I'll post again when I can.

Ballet Slippers

Today's card is a frilly, pink, girly card!  I made it for my SBC's (sister by choice!) niece.  She is 5 years old and a VERY girly-girl!  She loves to wear dresses, lot of frills and fancy socks and shoes, too cute!  She takes ballet, so when I saw this image I immediately thought it was perfect for her.  I used lots of pink, flowers, ribbon and pearl accents.  I embossed the background paper and used a new set of border dies for the lace look.  The frame around the image was an SVG file from My Scrap Chick.

Hope you all have had a pleasant weekend.  Drop by again some time!

GLITTERY BUTTERFLY

Happy Sunday!  Hope you are having a nice weekend wherever you are!  It's 117 degrees here in Phoenix, and believe me, THAT'S HOT!!!  So I have been inside where it is cool and passing the day crafting.  Not a bad way to spend my Sunday.

This card I did is for my favorite Aunt.  Her Birthday is coming up and I needed to get it done as I am going on vacation.  Between both my DT duties and cards that have to be made before I go, I am VERY busy!  This is a beautiful cut file from My Scrap Chick that I recently purchased.  I LOVE it!  It was cut on my Silhouette using SCAL.  I used glitter paper for some sparkle, added a few flowers and the sentiment is computer generated.  I really love the result!

Now it's back to work, or should I say PLAY!  See you next time!

CC&CC #41 ~ BINGO & DT CALL

OK, This is going to be a FUN one at CC&CC!  How about a game of BINGO!
Here is the card:
Our super sponsor is KennyK, and with their images this was really a great, creative challenge!  My problem was trying to decide on what items to choose for my BINGO!  Well, since it was such a hard choice, I used them ALL!!!  Look closely and you will see them, lol!

My image is called Happy Hour.  To me it really looks a bit retro, so I went along with that look with the papers I used.

CC&CC is also having a DT call.  We are looking for outgoing individuals who shares our passion for card making and wants to share it with others.  No prior experience is required.  Come on over and find out what the position will require.  If you think it is for you, go for it!  We want to hear from you!

So pop on over to Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenges to join us for this exciting challenge and also let us know if you would like to join a FUN, FAB DT!!!

Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge # 40 Fantasy and/or Fairies

Two weeks sure can fly by quickly!  Time for another fun challenge over at CC&CC.  This time you can let your imagination run wild with a super theme of Fantasy and/or Fairies!  That can cover a realm of possibilities!

Our super sponsor is Delicious Doodles.  Their variety of digis is amazing and fit into this category perfectly.  I used this super image called Egyptian Queen.  I had the perfect background paper that was in my stash and was itching to be used.  I added the Ankh from clip art I found on the net.  It, and also my image are colored it with my Copics and metallic gold and silver inks.  On the Ankh I added layers of clear embossing to give it shine (hard to see in pic!)  I also did the same with the die cut frame.  On my Queen I added a whole bunch of tiny rhinestone nail gems for sparkle.  The Egyptian eye is also a piece of clip art and has layers of clear embossing.

What lovely fantasy or fairy image do you have to use in this fun challenge?
We would love to see your creation, so join in the fun!

CC&CC CHALLENGE #38 USE A NUMBER

SOOOOO SORRY I am late posting this!  My daughter-in-law was here for a week visiting and I had NO time for crafting and blogging!  We had a super visit!  She had to leave this morning and I miss her already!

Now, back to business!  Our challenge at CC&CC is to use a number on your card.  Our sponsor Robyn's Fetish gave us super images to use, and I chose this cute teapot and matching cups.  I decided to use the step fold and I think it looks pretty good with the images.  I made the paper flowers with my die cut roses die, and the letter and numbers were cut on my Silhouette.  The images werre colored with my Copics, then I added some pretty pink pearls to
set it all off.

Hope you come join us at CC&CC for this fun challenge!

I just had to add this pic!  We had been out running around and it was soooo hot.  We came back and went for a swim. Then my husband and his daughter absolutely zonked out!!!   Too cute!

WARM THOUGHTS

Happy Sunday all!  I hope you are having a relaxing day with family and loved ones.  Time with them is so special.  This card is for a very special lady who is my Aunt's best friend.  I've gotten to know and love her too.  She recently had a stroke that left her speechless, immobilized and now pneumonia.  The prognosis is not looking too good.  She is in her 80's and trying as hard as she can to get better.  I wanted to do something very special for her to help bring a bit of sunshine her way.  I used die cuts from a new set I got at the craft fair last month.  It's a Creatables set by Marianne Designs and I LOVE it, especially those little corner pieces.  I made a lot of paper roses, added pearls and the sentiment.  The papers are ones I really like and use a lot.  They're from "The French Country Stack" by DCWV.  I did it as an easel card so she could have it open and be able to see it.

I hope that it makes her smile.  God Bless Lois, you are in my prayers!

SHADES OF PURPLE

I told you there would be a sequel to the last card!  I am hooked on this glitter, stained glass look.  I even ordered more of the glitter, lol!  It is such a fun technique to do!  This is the latest one I've done.  It is going to be for my Aunt for Mother's Day.  I added some tiny punched flowers with pearls in their centers, ribbon and a few Dew Drops.

The inspiration for this card and the layout came from my blogging buddy Cheryl at CherCroppins Showcase.  I LOVE her style!  Her work is so classy, pop over and see for yourself.

NEW GOODIES & TECHNIQUE

Good morning everyone.  I wnat to start with a prayer for all those involved in the horrific and senseless violence that struck in Boston yesterday.  I can't even comprehend why people do these terrible, terrible things.  I am so thankful for all the medical help that was on site and were able to help so many.

With that said, I feel almost guilty telling you how much fun I had on Saturday.  I went to a scrapbook convention and got a bunch of new goodies!  One of the items I purchased is a kit from Krafty Kreations that included all I needed to do this technique.  It looks like stained glass!  I had no idea that you could color on super fine glitter!  Take a look at my results!

You use double sided sticky sheets, fine glitter, apply peel off stickers for the image outline, color with Copics, then apply to clear acrylic, lovely!  I also bought some packs of just the peel off stickers and look forward to experimenting with them.  Sounds like future posts to me!

Have a good day, and remember to hug your loved ones every chance you get!

GO BANANAS!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you are having a nice weekend.  I did a bit of crafting yesterday and this is one of the cards that I did.  It's for a cousin for his birthday.  He likes monkeys, lol, so I pulled out this cute little Changito stamp that I haven't used in ages!  I added the palm tree that is a digi, colored it all with my Copics, then added the ribbon, button and bling from my stash.

I forgot to take a picture of the inside, oops!  It said,
"It's your day, go bananas!"

See you again soon!

CHOCOLATE, COFFEE & CARDS CHALLENGES #36

WOW!  If the number of entries we had for our last challenge at CC&CC is any indication that you are ready for Spring, then you all certainly are!
Amazing, beautiful cards and what a turnout!
Many thanx for your support!

This next challenge is a color inspiration.  I hope you enjoy working with this color combo!

Our super sponsor for this challenge is Sassy Studio Designs!  Be sure to check out their awesome digi images.  They have a super variety of lovely ladies that fit so many topics and occasions.

I used this cutie called "French Honey".  Of course when I chose her I wanted to do a French theme.  Here is what I came up with.

I colored her with my Copics, and I used some rubber stamps that I had on the background paper.  Then I added a bit of bling and called it good!

Be sure to pop on over to CC&CC and join in on this fun challenge.

See you there!

HAPPY SPRING!

Well, I'm pretty sure that everyone is really in the mood for Spring!  I have see some really beautiful creations from a lot of you and have truly been inspired.  Also helping my inspiration is my daughter and her husband.  They got a dandy little green house and have been busy planting.  I decided toget my own garden going too.  With all this Spring fever going on I created this card.  It is to congratulate my kids on the fab job they did building their green house!

I used a darling stamp from Dearie Dolls which I colored with my Copics.  I added some pre-made daisies and a gold charm that says "BLOOM".

Hope it is soon Spring in your neighborhood!  In the meantime, try making a Spring themed card to get in the mood!  Happy Spring!
